Worst mishaps? You could say that!

There ya go you could do that. Although, looking at the pictures makes me a bit optimistic.. Looks like you could prob get away with fixing it assuming no major front end or frame damage. You have some money in it and it looks very clean. I’d definitely be pulling out those headers though if you do! lol

I would pull everything out if need be! From my headliner to my headers...

dang danny that sux big time i am glad ur ok. And you just got those new projector lights ouch. I hope you get ur limited back and looking all sharp again once u get it all fixed. I hope you don't have to get a new x u and russ can make ur limited looking sharp and it will be bad ass again.

But good thing is no one got hurt and u are ok that is good news. But stay strong man ur limited is going to be ok.

Oh come on- Monmix could fix that in a day I bet, lol ;) (Love ya Kev)

I would happily donate a fender and header panel to speed you on your way if mine weren't crushed. Do they have any decent junkyards up that way? Used parts would certainly save you a bundle. Like Justawayz said, as long as there isn't any significant frame damage it really doesn't look that bad. Lemmie know if I can help with the Ford stuffs, I don't get much of a discount anymore but at least it's genuine OE parts!

Yeah, right now it looks like I'm going to total it out then buy it back and Russ and I will fix it our selves. The biggest thing is the Core Support...

Looks worse than it is, I am sure! Think you can have that done well and quick....Here in the UK that would be a right off as the parts, panels etc are not available and insurers would write a cheque out!

Has it already been totaled, Danny? It actually looks a lot better than the first few pictures led to believe. Looks like you just need the body panels and support pieces from the bulkhead forward. I think there's one on ebay!!

I'm not a damage expert, but even if it's an eyesore for a while because of different colour body parts etc, at least it's driveable. I'm sure Henry will give you the same pricing on a new set of lights too.

Good luck man and definitely keep things in perspective. It's only a car and it's nowhere near as grave as your situation 2 years ago. Life is full of setbacks. It's how you deal with those setbacks that defines you.

Damn it Danny!! that sucks big time!!! sorry, your truck is way too nice, it looks fixable in the pics, I hope everything comes up OK

As I t type I'm still waiting ok that phone call. And your all right I know we can fix it but is it worth it? Celly is compleaty right wise man that's why I like him. I'm just waiting on that phone call.

]As for parts I have to parts trucks and I know a junk yard who has 85% explorers. But no 99-01 like I would need So if any one has any thing they would be will to send up for free like a running board, fender flair, grill, or bummper(hard one to find) PM me we can talk! Thanks :salute:

my 96 was almost that bad, I bought it for $900 and now look :)
straighten the inner fender, tack weld on new core support, used airbags ($200 for me!) some paint, some body panels and you are golden, did the front end (suspensio) get hurt any?

Your mom knows whats best for you no matter how it looks from your end currently, TRUST ME

I have wrecked like 5 cars (Im almost 36) when I call my dad to tell him he doesnt say are you ok, no no he says "are you kidding me? Oh man... another one?" LOL its just his way... after sitting and waiting for me in his Jeep during the last one (rolled 96 4 door on ice) I was in teh ambulance, his attitude changed from " I cant believe you wrecked that truck" to " I am so sorry I am glad you are okay" in about an hour..
Bottom line:
Dont let their first reaction scare ya, parents are people too, not always on spot with the perfect thing to say...

accidents happen, you just need to slow down just a bit during winter months, from those pics it does not look horrible...

Rolled XLT RIP:

Before $900 (thanks Skyler, Brett found the truck on this forum for me):

See it can be done on the cheap (if you know me and my Fords, they are JUNK YARD DOGS)

Think of this as a good opportunity to access the front of your engine :)

Sorry to see Danny...looks fixable, just sucks to see your rig like that...good luck man...:(

wait a second...You said you owe money on it, there for you are required by the bank that the vehicle if financed through to have full coverage insurance. So if its not totaled your insurance company will fix it for free other than you paying the 500.00 deductible or whatever your deductible is.

Yes but it's over 80% of what my truck books for.

The good thing is this is only a weekend project when you get the parts, provided you have the tools. Why do you think your insurance won't cover it?

Yes but it's over 80% of what my truck books for.

If you owe money on it the Insurance has to pay off the remaining balance. Then look into the buy back option or look into the laws about not releasing the vehicle in your state. You could get lucky like I did and they dump the vehicle back off in your driveway and turn over the title. In my case I got a 2 y/o vehicle worth $15k paid off by insurance, returned and fixed for under $500.

That's only if he got GAP insurance when he purchased the vehicle. If he didn't and they do total it out, he's stuck paying for a car he no longer has.

hey danny, is it possible to get a shot of frame horns from the underside? i wouldn't say they would write it off. evil had almost 5 grand worth of damage, and they fixed it last year. lets face it, a limited is worth WAY more then a sport, and your truck is also 2 years newer then mine. also everyone, lets stop with the "he's going to have to pay for something that he will no longer own" ****!!!!!!! he's bummed as it is, don't have to make it worst for him. we, including me still don't know what his insurance is going to do.

The last thing I was trying to do was make him feel bad. No, I was never almost killed in a accident but Ive been in my fair share of accidents in my lifetime and know how it feels but life goes on. whitelimeted-you should be thannkfull your alright and less bummed about your truck. Trucks are replaceable....your life isnt.

Correct, but...

That's only if he got GAP insurance when he purchased the vehicle. If he didn't and they do total it out, he's stuck paying for a car he no longer has.

If there is no GAP insurance (which covers the diff between what the vehicle is worth and the amount owed), then he would only be responsible for the difference. And don't try to skip out on the payments, the creditor will screw up your credit...

Once i hear back from the insurance guy and get real numbers to work with i will decide what will happen..

Thanks for all the support i really need it
