Danny, I'm sorry to hear of that. Take your time and relax for a short while. I killed my first nice car in 1997, it hurt a lot for what time and money was spent on it.

My mom was always on my case and I was NOT almost killed in an accident. She's just looking out for you. Give it time. It'll work out for the best.

It's only a car and you have access to more junky Explorers than most (for parts).

So I just got off the phone with russ and dad, they got the hood open. They said at worse case the raidstor and core support, have state farm total it pay off the loan and fix it up. Won't be pretty for a long time but drive able. That's where were at right now I'm sure this will be an on going thread keep an eye on it for me I need you all right now. Thank You All

i had similar if not more damage on my 97 after rear ending an eclipse and side swiping a buick. fender rail was slightly tweaked and some core support damage. some slide hammering of the core got it lined up enough for new body panels. good luck with the fix! id send you an eggnog milkshake if they were still selling them at McD's!

ah danny, this sucks! glad you ok, but THIS REALY SUCKS! same thing what celly said. i said this thread, and your name on it, and thought "oh ****, i hope this is a old thread". then when i saw your new lights on it, the heart skipped a beat. good news, it is def rebuild-able, but it will take some time! tell you what, if you like the way i did my front bumper, send one down, and i will make one up for you. well, look at it this way, now is a great excuse to flame it! keep us posted on how things go! once again, feeling your pain buddy!

This is just really hard, Very hard. It may be fix able but incurence will NEVER cover it. I still owe $4,800 on it so I don't know what will happen! Why me!

Hey man i know how this feel. I had to deal with it for 2 yrs in a lawsuit.

Just do what is best $wise. Dont end up paying for the explorer for many more years just because you want to rebuild it.

At worse case I would strip that truck and return it to stock! Keep everything for another 99-01 5.0
