Worst stuck pic thread

Not an explorer... or even a truck for that matter, but had some fun yesterday :)

Was muddin, but found a lil bit of quicksand like clay at the bottom of this puddle. Took two other quads to get me out. I had to pull my buddy out of a bigger mudhole with my expedition later.

You had a loader there and called a towtruck WTF!

No joke! You can start those without the keys! We found that out the hard way! We couldn't turn the stupid thing off! Turns out you have to pull the gas pedal up! Go figure!

Hell of a time to figure out the stupid push button 4WD drive isn't working. I was definitely in low, but only the back wheels were spinning.

your automatic hubs are probably shot. looks like its time to upgrade to a pair of manuals.

Wow! I wish there was a hole like that around here! Looks like fun if you didn't get stuck.

Is that thing stock except for tires?

Actually, since the 4wd wasn't working, I got stuck about 20 feet prior to that. What you don't see in the picture is the winch attached that is pulling me through that crap.

And yeah, it looks like the hubs were the problem. I think I may have overpacked them with grease when I replaced the ball joints. I just in the process of cleaning them out, but I still suspect that they still may be a bit worn.

Yeah, it's stock for now. Even the tires are stock size 235/75R15?? So I have clearance issues :)

Auto hubs do not get packed with grease, none of the hubs do. In fact you should be cleaning them out, I use ATF

Ditch those auto hubs, get manuals if you dont want to get stuck

Starting off told them I wouldn't make it! Oh well.

Didn't even make it into the hole completly. Bottomed out like mad! Good thing I didn't go all in, cause I would have had water on the inside for sure!

Flex in the hole

Took about an hour + a few bee stings to get out.

I have a better picture of the right side. You can only see an inch of the tire!

Here's a video of me going into it. You can really see how fast I stop!

How right you are.. It stops way quick, like someone tied your rear axle to a tree .
