Thanks guys, the service was today, it was really nice, I never thought I'd be carrying him out at 20, kind of thought I'd haver a few more years with him.
Lizard, what j**ps have the 44 we need? Wagoneer?
Glad ya had a nice service Shaun, I never thought I be puttin my cat in the ground either... not that its any were close to loosing a family member... but ya never know, death is a part of life that noone can perdict....
anyway, the axle is in 71-91 j**p Grand Wagoneer (but not sure what year the started disc brakes), 73-88 J**p J-10 and J-20 pickups, I need disc brakes, gearing can be changed. we saw a few of them at harrys so I think Ill look there....Ill have to pay my wife to come with and help me take it out ....
Well i got the offer from the insurance company today and theyre offered me 8 grand. I think thats a really good amount. They valued my truck at 9050 which really suprised me. Ill be able to buy that 97 explorer and have a decent amount left over for tires rims and some other goodies like gears. Though hopefully ill be able to find axles @ harry's or something with 4.10 gears. Speaking of 4.10 gears how much would you want for your front axle chris?
nice deal doug.... check this out... your lookin for 4:10's. if I get an axle at a good price, Ill sell ya my front end and the rear 4:10's with the LS, since Ill probably upgrade to 4:56's... Ill have a whole front end, and the gears/LS out of the rear available..... what da ya think?
Fug, when are you picking up the new truck?
I'm off to get a tattoo tomorrow, in remeberance of my uncle. My cousin Mike and my Uncle Mike got Celtic crosses done on Sunday afternoon, I thinking something like a fairly simple Celtic Cross, with a Shamrock in the backround, I think it would be cool. Now I just need to wrestle up some cash
Well, my X should be ready. My rock sliders arrived today !! Whoo hoo! Looks like another weekend project . Kudo's to Gloria Zimmerman. They certainly are beefy!!
I can't figure out why we couldn't go up Valley with stock trucks, I did fine, and Chris put it best, "if you can't make it up Valley, the main artery to the park, you shouldn't be wheelin" I can make it through that, but Spare Tire on the other hand...
I know I wont be ready even for late August run.... I'm having many health issues so the Ex (until last week that is) had to be put on the back burner..... so unless they start forgiving me a couple of mortgage payments.... the "improvements I have planned will have to wait until at least Sept...hopefully by the trailfest..... if not by the trailfest....then I'm just going to come as she is......mirror is fixed....dent is pulled out and the whole rockers (up to the trim) is herculined...
