I just purchased my X, and I was thinking of changing out the foglight bulbs with some yellow H1 bulbs. Has anyone else done this? Any recomendations on brand of bulb?

don't do bulbs

first I don't know if they exsist. and secound just use yellow tinted film on the front. You can get it at pep boys in the tint section. I think Blackmagic did this.

whats the purpose of this?

Just for looks mostly, I always have liked the yellow fog look instead of just the white light.

:D

This site carries yellow H1 bulbs. They aren't the highest quality, but they carry a 6 month warranty so if they burn out you can get new ones. PIAA might have yellow H1's as well, but you'll pay a lot for those.

Thanks, I was looking at that sight earlier, and had the same concern about quality. But, I might as well buy them and try em I guess.

I did this with a past car, and didn't like the look of the film on the outside of the lights. Who knows, I might try it though.:D

Amber light cuts through bad weather (rain, fog, etc) better than white light. That would be the main reason to do this.

www.suvlights.com

has yellow/gold h1 bulbs.

they are available in different wattage.

narva/candlepower brand are first rate bulbs.

suvlights has VERY SLOW [and expensive] shipping and only takes pay pal.
