I'm in the market for new tires in the next month or so and was wondering if anybody was running the Yokohama Geolander AT-S? And what the mileage expectancy is on them?

I considered the Geolanders (Tirerack rating:8.2) and many other tires for my XLT w/ 17" wheels. I ended up with Firestone Destination A/Ts (Tirerack rating:8.8). I couldn't be happier.

BTW, I think these are the first Firestone tires I've ever purchased.

I had the Geolanders on my 2002 Sport. They were decent, but didn't last very long, maybe 30k. The Cooper Discoverer ATR's I have, are 35k old, and look brand new on tread. Great grip, look good, and ride nice.

IIRC, the Geos had wear issues for some TR reviewers and a few complained of them getting very noisy at various points of their lifespan.

They wear down too quick. 25k out of them before my buddy had to get them off so he did not die from loss of traction.
