Hello all,

I've been thinking about this for a while, so I have decided to just go ahead and do it. I would like this thread to become a master reference for those looking for phone compatibility and MyFord Touch.

If the thread becomes successful, I think it might be worthy of a sticky, so it is my hope that everyone contributes.

It is my desire to keep this thread as lean as possible, so I have a few suggestions:

If you wish to add to the list of features in case I miss something, post it in the thread (or you could PM me). After I add the suggestion, could you please delete it.

Please do not list your phone if it is already listed elsewhere, unless your experience differs significantly.

Try to keep off topic comments out of this thread, I'm looking to keep this thread lean and mean! :)

Please let me know how to make the thread better, I will try my best to integrate all of the suggestions.

I think it would be easiest for people to reply to the post after this one (Post #2), and just type in the appropriate information, that way, the data will be more complete and consistent for all phones. Simple YES/NO answers should suffice, and are preferred, but short explanations are okay if you feel they add to the understanding of how your phone works. Other than YES/NO, I was thinking 'Not Tested' and 'NA' (if the phone lacks the feature) might be helpful.

FYI, here is the official Ford SyncMyRide Phone Compatibility List. Here is the older Phone Compatibility List for those with older phones (like mine).

Thanks, and lets get this ball rolling....

Other Notes: Since we don't own a vehicle with MFT (yet, hopefully this summer!), my sparse information is what I was able to collect while messing around with my friend's new Edge Sport. I'll update if/when I am able to spend more time with MFT in his car.

Other Notes: I am currently having a problem with the most basic thing -- Connecting to Ford services. This was working flawlessly before the performance upgrade. I am hoping this is something simple, but haven't got to the bottom. There are a few tricks to getting photo contacts to work. To get them to show up I d/l manually one-by-one. Also, I had to have the photos locally on my phone for it to display correctly on caller ID. These last two tricks were required on the old version and only assumed to be required on the performance update.

Note: MFT did not indicate that this phone was BT audio capable by flashing the phone's name in the entertainment corner like the Droid Razr Maxx did. I am not sure if that means it is not BT Audio ready, or just that it doesn't report it automatically.

Other Notes: This phone replaced an older Motorola K1m (Krazr) phone which never reliably connected with MFT and in my opinion caused other glitches to occur like the radio turning on automatically or not being able to turn the radio off. Since getting the Samsung Convoy 2, I have not had any of these problems and have been much happier with MFT overall.

Call History Download: Not that I can see.'

NOTE: I have multiple phone numbers for each contact. The old phone (Samsung Smile) didn't let me access more than the "main" number - had to have a separate phonebook entry for each number. This phone does *WAY* better - I say "Call James Work" and it grabs the work number and off it goes. If you browse the phone book for them, you just choose which entry under the name. Pretty sweet!

Thoughts on phone.
My prior smart phone was a Droid X. The Razr Maxx has been a far more stable phone for applications; I used to get many force close on Droid X; I have only have maybe 1-2 force close on the Razr. The phone syncs to MFT every time I get in car and start MFT. The 4G speed seems good; much better than the 3g. I'm in DC Metro, so I seem to get good coverage here.

No complaints from people on other end of call when connected to MFT via Bluetooth. I think it sounds very clear on my Sony Limited system.

Exceptional Battery life. I can check emails, text, and talk on phone some and conduct some web surfing of photos and videos, and the batter will last well into second day before needing a charge. Best phone/batter combo I have ever used. Call volume much better than the Droid X; and I think the ring volume has been fixed by moto over the X.

edited to update about text message and ice cream sandwich.
