HI!

Alright, so:

'99 XLT, 4.0L V6 SOHC

The air box hose that goes between the MAF and the TB has a couple other hoses/tubes that plug into it.

One is rubber, the other is hard plastic.

What are these things?

In regards to the hard plastic one - I think I may have misplaced a short section of host that goes between it and the engine - anyone got a photo of an SOHC engine with the plastic cover off?

IACV & PCV tubes

The hard plastic tube provides metered air to the IAC valve. There's a flexible elbow at the end that connects to the IACV.

The flexible hose provides metered air to the crankcase via the passenger side valve cover port for PCV.

Excellent, thanks.

I need to find that 'flexible elbow' then.

Drat, I don't remember specifically removing THAT.
