1998 Ranger XLT
My local A/C guy tells me that I am suffering from "Black death".
My Ranger is a 1998 and the only data I regarding black death that I could find referred to older units.
I suspect/pray that my local A/C guy is mistaken or otherwise.
So, can anyone advise me as to whether the problem has been successfully resolved , in one way or another , OR must I do battle with Ford?
Thank you,
John

Welcome to here.

That ac guy sound like BS.

Quick to know if you still have freon in your ac system.

Remove tire cap on ac system on black can passenger side toward to firewall. Hit with key in that QUICK does it had pressure? If it good. You could be low on freon.

My Explorer AC start downhill every 2-3 years so I refill with 1 can R132 it cheaper.
