    97 explorer 5.0
    hello everyone in new on here , and i need to know a things before my swap i just go a 97 ex 5.0 and i want to do a swap into my 2000 ranger i can do the motor , tranny and everything with no problem i just need help with the pats in my ranger do i just do away with it or what the explorer dont have it but the ranger does a little advice would be great thanks so much.

    5.0 V8 2002 Ranger
    Just ignore PATS. The 97 5.0 PCM has no PATS so no worries.

    Only accommodation you'll need to make on the Ranger side of PATS is to permanently ground the starter solenoid's relay. Single wire at that 42 pin connector will go to ground rather than to the Ranger's PCM.

    Ok because I am really not worried about the security system and I have the whole explorer for any parts I may need thanks for the reply so soon if I run into any other problems I will be sure to ask and thanks again
