I realized it's hard to do an SAS when you've leave at 7 for school, and get back at 6 from work and have very little daylight left, and no garage to work = my truck sits in the driveway for way too long. I know how it feels to be a jackstand wheeler now. :p

Yep... I wanted to help, but I also didn't want to live in a tent outside after the wife kicked me out for someone else's vehicle being there for so long! And it would have been longer than this at my place!! Glad to see you are getting close to the finish line. Everything takes longer than you plan, especially vehicle stuff.

Josh - the front driveshaft fits perfectly. The 44 and the 9" both had 1310s already (same as the 35 and 8.8) and so I only needed the rear lengthened a bit. When Robbie gets back in town, I'll get to help him work on his axle every Tuesday (we have a little thing at my work where we get together and work on cars on Tuesday nights, and we just about finished stripping down our 52 Ford proj, so it'll be getting media blasted, frame powdercoated, etc) So if he's got the money for the parts, we can get his D44 all setup and ready in no time. BTW, that 86 Yota you've got has a straight axle right?

Nope 85 was the last year they had straight axles, but im looking as hard as i can to find a good deal on one close to here, ive been checkin pullapart just about every other week, but ill get one soon i hope, thats pretty cool what yall do at your work and sounds fun ill have to hang with yall sometime when i get my axle and you can help me tear it down and get it ready if ya want to

Sent you a PM James.

Well, I gotta go to work now, but I got both of the coil buckets mounted today. When I get back from work, I'm going to cut the buckets down (so they go just slightly past the bottom of the frame) and have my neighbor tig the buckets to the spacers. Also, I'm most likely gonna be picking up new axle shafts for the front end already. I'm trading my stock shafts + 225 for some used but great condition Warn Chromoly shafts, then I'll need to find a set of CTMs.

mmmmm chromoly shafts and ctm's. when you get all done and can drive this thing, i bet your legs will hurt for the first week from going from 31's on a small lift to jumping in with 37's and big lift.

It's been so long since I've been driving on 31s that I don't even remember what it's like. 31s are big to me....I've been driving a 2wd s10 on ~27-28s. So it'll be even worse :D (I can't wait til we finally isntall the 3" BL that's sitting here and then get some spindles and blocks for the s10 = 31"-32" Maxxis Mudders. :D)

instead of a body lift and spindles, you should weld a 30 degree ramp into the bed and use it as your mobile rti ramp.

I've heard if you combine warn shafts and ctm's you'll most likely break an axle before the u joint and people i heard this from just run some brute force joints and the warns.

BS...They are designed to work together. They will move the break point to the hub which is cheap and easy to replace on the trail.

Or in my case blow a hub with 20 year old stock shafts and u joints. I plan on eventually running alloy shafts and probably longfield Ujoints.

well ok, thats just what i heard from a guy that had them in his k10

Wtf? CTM's arn't "desinged" to be used with warn chromo's, warns are some of the lower end chromo shafts.

I doubt my brother would go for that idea, it's his truck. He saw an S10 today with a 6" susp. lift and 3" BL on 35s and he's definitely ready to get this thing up in the air. It's funny how just three months ago he was wanting to do a 4" drop on 18s til he got $$ for bags...now all of a sudden I lift mine on 37s and he's doing anything he can to get his Sonoma off the ground. :D

They have pills for that.

Sorry I wasn't as clear as I could be, the CTM's are designed to be used with any chromo shaft in general, not a stock shaft. I'm not a metalurgist so I won't debate the Warn vs Surperior vs ...... being the best quality chromo shaft.
