Matt's '92/'99 4X4 V8/4R70W swap!

if you use the BW1356, or the 4406 you will have to clearance for the t case, with the AWD case or the 1354 you will not have to modify anything except the driveshafts

I ordered a 3" pa body lift.

hmm sas the truck and eliminate that ttb beam lol

have you given any thought as to what you going to do with the vss since your setup used to be all 2wd?

is your ecu from a 2wd? can you stickthe vss somewheres before the tcase

what will happen in lowrange when it cant match road speed to the gear/rpm

the speedo drive cable goes in the tcase and the computer vss is in the rear axle.

So both will show correct wheel speed.

in a 92 the VSS is in the t case, the sensor in the rear axle is only for the ABS

1998 plus VSS is only in the rear axle no more speed sensor in the t case

the OSS is inside the transmission in both 2wd and 4x4 and in all 5.0L years

3" body lift? oh man....... cut it down to 1.5 or 2"??????

Nah I want more lift anyway and if I'm gonna have gaps they might as well be big.

3" creates alot of problems over a 2" lift

the only reason to do a body lift IMO is to clear big tires, if you are doing it to clear drivetrain, keep it as small as you can! 3" = stretch brake cables, ground straps, steering extension, bumper brackets, brake lines, cooling hoses, wiring, etc and a few other crazy situations, its not that huge of a deal to overcome but 2" looks alot nicer and eliminates half of these, Just IMO

So, you're having mounting issues with the L&L mounts? Those are the ONLY bolt-in and go mounts that are out there anymore...

There are lowered (read: SLAMMED) guys on the TheRangerStation that have used L&L's, Fox Body, and the 4.0L Lower mounts to get a 5.0L mounted in their rides, and NONE of them had to do a body lift.

Then look at the parts combination some more. Something might be off as you have it, mounts flipped around etc. Look it over well before changing paths.

Go for it with the body lift, I did and it worked out great. Still have to do some hammering but made it a lot easier to install everything. I also hated body lifts because of gaps etc. after doing it i found i really liked the way it turned out.

I am looking forward to the lift.

I have wanted to lift some more for a while but have been focused on the engine.

I will double check everything to make sure I haven't got anything wrong. And I'll take pics to show you guys what my problems are.

If I was 2wd I don't think I would have any problems.

if your body bolts are as rusted as mine were and you smoke a mount you can get replacements from LMC truck.

Well, that was easy.

Body lift.

Once the bumpers are lined up I think it'll be great!

Well with some spacers in the engine mounts my engine now sits correctly.

Only i have a small problem:

My transfer case is 5 inches wider than the space I'm at know

So I guess I'm gonna have to do some serious slotting on the engine crossmember to allow for some movement.

my engine mounts aren't friendly to much side to side movement.

I have read that an np208 may fit with my adapter. in the pics it looks narrower than the 1356.

Do you guys know anythig about the np208? all I knownis that it came on 80-86 f150s and FSBs.

wickedwindsor, can you take some pics of your setup so i can figure this out?

WOW, thats all I can say, i... uh... I'm speechless.
