Awesome, just wont an auction on eBay for a billette grill, for $15 :D

Joe that's all that as going through my head on the awy home :(

True test of an Explorer owner... One who asks "what the hell was that noise?" at least 3x on the way home from work...

Clunk, rattle, grind!

But seriously, im sick of the clunking, cannot figure out what that is :( Over bigger bumps

Visual (Jacking the truck up, etc) check of the BJ's and they still look good. Im gonna drop about 800$ in parts in the front end in spring though, including balljoints, suspention, tie rods, etc.

Probably the sway bar body mounts... That's where the majority of the clunks have been on any of mine, even if I couldn't move the bar by hand.

Goooooooooooooooooooooooooood! We just did most of the front end on my buddies Ranger (Well back in fall), and he said it was like a night and day difference. His wasnt bad before, hes just that type of guy who when he has the money hes buyin new parts to replace the old.

Damn. Joe showed me some good replacement spark plugs, now wires, theres just about as many of those on RockAuto as there are plugs!

Is there any certain info im looking for? Some say "w/cast iron manifolds", some say "w/tubular exhaust manifolds"

WOOHOO!

Gotta love FedEx! 18$ for 25 pounds 2-3 day shipping, got here the NEXT DAY!

Awesome man! The 97' in your sig?

So get off here and get to it! It really isn't that hard at all just make sure you have a breaker bar as you may need it and break the axle nut free before lifting the truck. Good luck Bryan.

Ok, I'll ask.

Brian- why are the sheets rolled up?

DANG where have I BEEN!? I'll tell you, not keeping up with this thread!

You picked out my dream Explorer, now adding on all the things I would dream about after obtaining my dream Explorer. I'm just gonna sit back and continue to drool over my keyboard now..

LOL at Joe Dirt, I think the floral pattern on his mattress MAY or MAY NOT be hinting at things! :p:

What wires did you get? I have plugs but with 181,000 I want to replace my wires but am cringing at the $300 they want for Motorcraft here.:D

Never mind, went to rockauto and Motorcrafts are $126,I'm all over that.

I bought a set of Duralast wires (Autozone) for something like $40. They seem good. The overall diameter of each wire was a hair thicker than the Motorcraft wires I took off- which makes putting the new wires in the various clips around the engine bay kinda difficult.

I got lucky and found another set of stock Motorcraft wires new in the box for $35 on eBay, or I'd have gotten those Motorcraft wires also. It was lucky, but I'd rather be lucky than good. :D

Wow I missed alot while I was gone...well we started out at about 12:30, and got done at 2:30! Even got the belt on!

The belt was crazy, the old one had about 3" more than the new Goodyear, it was thrashed.

Hubs...EASY AS HELL! I was expecting not to be done before work but we got each side done in an hour a piece. The hardest part (Which wasnt even too hard) was breaking the shoulder of the hub out of the axle or whatever you call it.

Joe that was just my blanket...my sheets were in the washer and yes theyre exactly like the picture you showed me just a queen size :D

I havent ordered plugs and wires yet, I spent a good hour on RockAuto and searching around for info on all of the wires. The MotorCraft ones @ 130$ seemed like alot, but you guys say thats cheap for 'em so I might order them next week. Actually thats a lie, I need new tires, and an alignment this weekend. My passenger front tire is showing bands a tad bit on the inside.

Anywho, im so effin happy this is done! It drives like new again:D

The passenger side wasnt bad, just groaned a bit, but the drivers side wouldnt have lasted 10 more miles. There was SO much play in it, and the bearings were GROUND TO DUST!

Ill upload a quick video I shot and some pics.
