11.22.2010-11.23.2010
ive always had a bogging/no get up and go on a cold start. so i went ahead and tried this: http://ford40.com/sputtering.shtml

left it to soak all night, dried today. there was some dirt/dust on the filaments. put it back in today along with a new maf from a cobra.
not only was there no more bogging when cold, i didnt have the slow response/bog related to having my battery unplugged and it relearning itself either.

i reccomend doing this if you have probs and notice the maf filaments are dirty.

the new maf sensor:

and the painted area behine the grille:

i will be painting the grille, bull bar, front bumper, rear bumper all with bedliner.
and at some point paint along the sides of the truck following the top of the bumper line in bed liner

11.24.2010-11.28.2010
bed lined front bumper, rear bumper+rear sides, grill, and re-added wal-mart lights.
took off the hitch that was attached the the bumper also.

I don't see a problem with that, it is an 8.8 correct? A buddy and I carried mine on our shoulders for a good 100 yards between cars at the salvage, you just gotta keep telling yourself it isn't THAT heavy. ;)

yea 8.8. i looked it up and it should weigh 174 pounds. i have no idea if that includes rotors, pads, fluid, weight difference of the aussie from stock(dont laugh idk how much any of those weigh!)
seems possible, getting it in the back might be a challenge, but i guess ill find out lol
getting it out by myself when i get home will be the real challenge :/

#### my tranny. i got beat by my friend in an old lady buick v6 at 3/4 throttle. and i was at WOT!
3.73 will help?

and speaking of 3.73, the new axle should be a problem for 2 people to carry it out a door, down some steps and into the back of my truck would it?
or i would always put it on a cart and wheel it to the front of the building down the halls and out the door. no steps to go down..

Wtf you racing for!!its not even broke in yet!!4.10 is the gear you need for the size of tires you have.hhahaaha HELL NO!!that rearend i bet you all will barley be able to pick up,stairs hahahahahah!! I wanna watch;)

didnt really race, saw how bad i wouldve lost and let go of the gas. it was a 30mph start also. so that wasnt *as* bad id think, compared to from a stop

well i think me and someone else can get it in the back, but when i get home is the problem..... whatchu doin tuesday night? :D

Im workn.off wed and thur.sat and sun im finally going to take my parts down and spray them with final color;)174!!! Idk about that,i would say 250+ and there is no real easy way of picking it up.i have one in the garage and there is noway i can move it around by myself.you got ups tracking, go online and see what the shipping weight was

Sweet!! Thought you was getting spring to,withoit them its a little lighter, still heavy as spit!!

its prob a little lighter also without the fluid in it. i assume its in there still anyway.
no springs. gonna use my old ones. ill get new ones later down the road. them being flat isnt gonna be a bad thing when theres no lift on the front lol

yea, im trying to see if i cant get/borrow some wheels to roll this with. i can unload it myself if theres some protection with wheels. would i break anything standing it up on the lugnuts when unloading? (i doubt it, just asking anyway)

I wouldnt.just back up to your garage door and use your engine lift to pick it up and sit it on jack stand outside of your garage so you can clean and paint it with out having to move it 50 times

Haahahah smarter not harder!!:)

yea im begining to think my head is filled with peanut butter and turtles lol

mostly just surface rust. other then that it looks good.
i understand theres no drain plug, same bullcrap with the tranny. but i dont see a fill plug?

Yep!thing is nasty

ok ill spray in there then. now i gotta learn howto take brakes and rotors off lol
dont think i have to disconnect the brakes? i can just take it all off in 1 piece?

bought a crapload of brake cleaner and a couple cans of undercoating

Yep.i leave that plug out and fill it where the abs plug in the top is

i cant even get that thing off lol
i took the bolt out and itll rotate, but i dont wanna pull to hard and break it lol

i got atleast like 4qts out of this thing.
something i may be concerned for... there was a small silver coin looking thing, but oval. its edges are rolled over on each side and on one side i can read 03P.
it was inside the diff. i forgot to take a picture of it

something i noticed and made me look up yours. i have some mounts welded to my sway bar mounts turning them into shock mounts. think you can cut them off? theres a bolt on the top, then theyre also welded on.
DSC_2350-.jpg

and i said 'made me look up yours'. did you paint your exhaust pipes? gunmetal?
