Thanks for the reply IMP. When i first get on the highway the TCC engages, but anywhere from 2-5miles down the road the rpms jump up again, always under light throttle and i have to baby the heck out of it to get to engage again.
Since it looks like the torque converter, what is a good brand...
Last year my transmission started acting up and it's gotten worse since. It wont stay locked in overdrive, resulting in 300-400 rpms higher than normal. O/D light has never flashed either.
I'm just wondering if I should replace the torque converter or valve body. Every thread I've read with...
Just did a fluid/filter change and i can't get the level right. The level is correct when cold but when trans is hot the dipstick says there's no fluid.
I am checking fluid hot when vehicle is in park and running. Also I am checking the fluid level per the vehicle's manual.
Last time I did the...
I lubricated them about 1 month prior to this happening and a couple times before that in 8 years. They're inexplicably working so I can't complain! thanks!
Quick update, cycled the locks several times with the viper alarm. Now the stock key fob works and the doors are locking/unlocking like it were brand new. Not sure what the problem could've been.
Went to go into work this morning and my doors wouldn't unlock, everything acted like the battery had drained over night. Slim jimmed my way in and battery is perfect.
The key fob and all door lock buttons inside try and unlock the doors, but all that happens is the sound of maybe the actuator...
To make a long story short, changing plugs today I noticed the bottom of the booster was wet, but nothing underneath was, indicating it's a very minor leak. My brakes haven't gotten any weaker so should I be worried? Here's a few (cell phone) pics.

Also, what is this exactly? And...
Last summer I purchased an HO alternator from DB Electrical and all the wiring from knu koncepts for the big 3. Installed everything and now when im idling the volt meter drops and once I ge on the gas it jumps up, all the lights get really bright then back to normal brightness. I never had this...

If you don't have a relay or harnes I suggest this relay and this harness or similar products. You can upgrade the harness wires depending on how many amps your fogs use. Or you can just find one with larger wires. Hope this helps!
They have their own website which I found odd. There are several different versions of them too. Wish I would've known about these a month ago as they sound promising.
I can't comment on the o2 sensor but in my opinion a trans temp gauge is very beneficial. Mine lets me know when to back off and pull over if needed while pulling my trailer. They're simple to install also.
I didn't buy any sort of tune from anyone, i'd like to though. But on the controller itself you can do a number of things. I changed Idle rpm, egr on/off, o2s on/off and a few other things I know i'm forgetting.
Went ahead and ordered some 265/50r20 (30.5") Nitto Terra Grapplers for a good price from Summit. I've read mixed opinions on this tire so hopefully they fair me well. I'll update in a few months when I get them put on.
Apparently the initial problem was that the exciter wire had corroded to dust so my old alternator was still good. But now I have a bigger alternator! :) Thanks NIX
I only have bolt ons as well but it's neat being able to tweak/tune/turn on/off things at your own will. I have changed mine enough and have had an increase in mpgs and power as well. But also a decrease in all these too, trial and error thats all.
He asked if his quoted OTD (out the door) price was a good deal or not. He didn't ask for anyones opinion on the vehicle itself. There have been moderators that have posted warnings about bashing on the site. Stickies are your friend.
