96 explorer remote entry and other questions
"black eagle"? prbly an aftermarket keyless entry system or a generic key fob. if your explorer has a keyless entry keypad on the drivers door and/or the anti theft system you should be able to have it programmed to accept a ford factory key fob. i lucked out and scored 2 with an entire...- Four0Sport

what vehicles have you pulled out of mud, ditches and so on.
with my 93 I have a Camaro, a newer wrangler out of a water hole so big it might as well have been a swimming pool.. it blew up too, but what amazed me the most was pulling my dads 3/4 ton dodge out of our yard after a freak ice storm with intermittent 4wd capabilities, i say intermittent bc the...- Four0Sport

96' XLT 5.0 Leak
im still amazed at how ford can call a 2 inch extended oil filter housing an 'oil cooler' and i know i know it runs underneath the water pump but i dont see how it helps out all that much. is it possible his leak is coming from the timing cover itself? or a crank or cam seal within the timing...- Four0Sport

BWM questions.. post search
I came across a couple threads on the brown wire mod and started searching and noticed the vehicles capable of this modification were 97 and up 4wd guys. I saw the term 'auto 4wd' thrown around and wondered if this mod was possible for my 5.0 AWD. If this is possible i know what im doing on my...- Four0Sport

Modifications for 5.0 AWD for more hp
yeah im pretty sure you dont have an engine oil cooler. yes the filter mounts below the water pump but besides the PS cooler and the tranny cooler 5.0 ex's do not have a factory engine oil cooler. that was a GM innovation that remains a pain in the neck.- Four0Sport

I've always wanted a set of polished mustang GT 17x9s for my explorer and found a set realtively cheap. my only concerns are the backspacing and turning radius effects.. and tire selection, Id like to keep a nice all season or all terrain tire.- Four0Sport

93 Explorer Grind And Clunk 4x4
i wasnt offering a manual hub swap as a quick fix to any problem, its just been my experience with auto hubs that the manual hub is an all around better way to go if you plan on using your 4 wheel drive system frequently, and yes the ease of care required with the manual hubs is a plus. Goodyear Wranglers First Maine storm and I LOVE'EM
I've been hearing mixed thoughts on the Goodyear Wranglers. My mom hated them on her 06 Jeep, so much so that at under 10K she got rid of them and I took em. I'm not gonna pass up a free set of 30x9.50 tires, even if they are crappy. I'll need somethin this summer when I take the BFG's off.- Four0Sport

the easiest way to replace the radius arm bushing is to remove the cross memeber that is riveted in. if you see bolts and nuts holding the cross member to the frame theyve likely been replaced.- Four0Sport
