Has anyone come up with a repair solution for the broken plastic tabs that hold the overhead console on a Sport Trac without sunroof? If not, has anyone changed out the bracket, and is it possible without removing the headliner?
Thanks,
John

I can't be the only person who had the tabs break on the overhead console, can I?????

No responses, but here is what I did for a temporary workaround. First I tried the curable epoxy to reattach the tabs, but that failed immediately. I then hit on the idea of using hook and loop tape and it has been holding well for about 3 weeks. I put as much tape as I could fit on the console and matched it up to the "base". I did use the larger "hook and loop" product that came in strips and not the dots.

My '07 XLT doesn't have a sunroof, also my back window doesn't open.
However, the overhead console is just fine., thankfully. I don't use it much.
The ceiling fabric has come loose, I need to glue it back up there.
