Thought I would share this information (link) for those that might be interested. I first learned of this F-100 from its feature in Dirtsports magazine's May 2006 "Masterpiece In Metal" section. *More info and specs. on it can be found at:http://www.fordf2000.com/

Sweet! I was bummed when my dad got rid of his 2wd 78 F100 Ranger. It was the same standard cab short bed with the 302. I wanted it to be my first car and was going to fix it up desert style. Nice find.

That is one cool truck, I really like that

That's awesome. 900HP, 40 spline rear end, 4link, 38" of rear travel...doesn't get much nicer than that. Nice find.

410Fortune,

I apologize for the repost. I searched with some keywords before I posted, but obviously didn't get the right keywords. If you or a moderator would prefer to delete this thread and just bump the original, go for it.

OH man I dont care, that sucker should be posted everywhere, did you see the VIDEO? droooooool city

410Fortune,

I tried downloading both the low-resolution and high resolution videos. They download but when I try to watch the video a box appears on the screen that says "Couldn't open the file "f2000hi.mp4" because an unknown error occured. The number of the error is -8971."

Do you think I need a newer Quicktime version or something?

Thanks, Chris

I would try the newest QT first yes, worked fine for me. The second half is the truck cruising on the sand highway along side of the highway, looks like 60-80MPH to me basically the whole time, handles it like a champ, well tuned shock valving is obvious.

So I got a new quicktime version installed and saw the video of the truck. Cool to hear the engine rumbling and see it in motion after studying the photographs of it in Dirtsports magazine.

Seeing people scrub tire marks off a white floor isn't the most exciting thing to watch (don't know why?), but seeing the big reflective panels and light set-up was interesting.

The second half was awesome, it's almost hypnotizing seeing the suspension soak up the bumps on that road.

Later, Chris.

that is nice......
