I can buy this 86 sami for $250 for some guy. looks like hell but moves. although it fired right up, i did smell fumes almost immediatly, not sure if fuel or exhaust or both. drove it around the yard and seemed ok. so what are the specs on these. this on was manual . what axles, gear choices, limited slips, i belive its carb but not sure, this was 3 am when looked at it plus the guy was ****ed so not much help. basically what can you tell me. this is just for beating and playing with. thanks.
Sammies are GREAT wheeling vehicles...and damn near indestructible. They come with a 1.3L motor, 5 speed and carbureted. Tremendous amout of aftermarket support for the vehicles..xfer case re-gears, axle re-gears, lockers, lift kits...alll available at much cheaper pricing than most other vehicles. Companies like Calmini, Rocky Road, Spidertrax, Breeze, and Shrockworks all make components. check out my thread on modifying my Zuk... http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72863
