Wait until you are established before you have children, that’s what I tell my kid

Congrats on the birth of a baby girl!
My whole world centers around my son and my step/ grandkids. We are so lucky anytime we have a healthy kiddo, give that little one the attention she deserves ;) 2 under 2, yikes…. you can do this!!

It looks super *****in with the 35’s tucked on stock gen I limited wheels!!! Very cool

Give the fender lip a little extra because we know the leafs will allow the axle to move side to side a wee bit

That is a crazy shock angle

thank you! were blessed with a healthy baby! my son and i have been spending a time of ton together now that mom has her hands full feeding the newborn. he and i dont get to spend days on end together because my job has me away from the house for 13-14 hours a day, but im lucky enough to take some time off work right now and spend all day every day with him!

back to the expo. keeping the limited wheels was a must for me. im going to get them chromed and have been thinking about sending them to OMF for a beadlock conversion but i dont think i need beadlocks, it would just look cool haha.

definitely had to introduce the fender lip to my robber mallet lol

shock angle is kind of crazy and gets pretty digressive but thats what the internal bypass is for! we ramped up the valving towards the top of the shock and the last 2.5" of stroke is an internal bump zone which is super stuff on the compression side. it should be fine after some tuning later.

Got the rear wrapped up yesterday and pulled the pile out of the garage. To flip it around so I can start on the front. Good times!

Should drive it around town like that looks killer!

I’ve got a bit of an electrical question @410Fortune probably knows.

I have push button 4x4 and low gear. I want to move those buttons on to my s pod switch panel system.
Are those like a push for on and push again for off? Or is it a momentary switch? I can program the s pod to do either one just not sure how I can go about it. I want my trans temp gauge in the location where the switches currently are that’s why I want to move it.

Good question! I am not sure

Let’s look at the wiring schematics

Got the car flipped around in the garage and have the front suspension off. Hopefully Sunday I’ll have some time to know out all the rivets for the coil buckets and beam pivots. Then it’s back on the wire wheel for tons of clean up work 👎🏻

@410Fortune do you have any wiring sheets you’d be able to share with me to look at on the 4x4 switch

I’ll dig out the 93/94 wiring
Book and get some pics

See if this works, I tried to grab it from Ford's technician website but they don't like us "borrowing" things :) Looks like it's a momentary switch that signals the module to perform the shift.

Back to the progress. Got the front stripped of everything, much less rivets in the frame up here than the back. Removed the beam pivots, radius arm pivots and coil buckets. Sanded down the frame to get all the surface rust off where I could.
I really had to stop myself from taking off the body mounts so I could clean those up.
Task for another day lol.
Got the frame painted, and steering knuckles got sent to get sand blasted cuz they were baaaad

A friend of mine hooked me up with a set of chrome bumpers too! I’m pretty much the only person u know that hated these color matched limited numbers so I’m very excited about this

Keep the limited bumpers! They may actually be worth something someday soon the older square trucks are all the rage now

I’ll get the wiring info this am I’m heading into the shop after righting a nasty cough last few days

I’ve also been sick with a runny nose for like 4 weeks now. So annoying.

Boat pics! Twin outboard hallett vector that we use primarily in lake Havasu/ river near needles. That’s a project I have going right now also lol. The boats at the gel shop that’s why the Bimini is in the garage

Wowowowow!!!!!! How nice!!! Sorry, I had to ask haha. Twin outboard sounds nice! Whats the output on those? What prop? We have a '92 Carrera Caliente 18' open bow with the 4.3LX and usually we run a high five prop. We usually use it to ski locally around LA but its been out to Havasu/Mead. Picutre of it behind the Explorer.

End hijack! Good luck with the boat project Break Out Another Thousand!

Your build reminds me of my 94 Explorer XLT. Fox reservoirs coilovers, front on a Giant Motorsports Long travel kit. Rear King reservoirs, Deaver springs Giant Motorsports rear long travel. love mine.

That’s a nice boat! Looks super deep for a 18 I bet it’s a ton of fun to drive!
The engines are some hopped up mercury xr2 150s. Two stroke of course.
I go back and fourth between some 26p 3blade choppers and 23 pitch mercury mirage 3 blade
The choppers are for when I’m with the guys runnin fast and the 23s are for the family. Decent top speed with the 23s but a ton of torque to get out of any sort of trouble or traffic. Having 6 blades in the water is like having an all wheel drive boat haha it’s wild.
