2003 Explorer DOHC?

I have been eye balling an Explorer on Craigslist that says it is a DOHC engine. I wasn't aware that that was an option? This rig is clean with no rust with 135,000 miles it has a bad tranny and work on cams it says. I'm thinking it has 4.0 SOHC and that they are mistaken. $1500 buys it and I have a line on a 2003 smashed with engine and tranny to drop right in but I need to finish my 04 that I just bought too.

Could be they meant the 4.6L SOHC engine, or thought it was a DOHC like in the Navigator or Mustang.

No 4.6 they claimed V6 DOHC. After looking it up it isn't an option. 4.0 SOHC and 4.6 V8 were the only options other than flex fuel.

The Lincoln Aviator was available with the DOHC 4.6l... Maybe they swapped one in.

Have know clue about anything other then where to put the ign key and the gas.
