Hey I don't need to track her, she is being raised by the good folks at Ford. I have her birth certificate born on 08/24/2015. :D
Yes I am Canadian, east coaster.

I hear ya Ecobeast, I just purchased my tires, rims,m TPMS, taxes, installation...etc today $1960.00 over the next say four years it amounts to $500 for the most part. It saves my beautiful 20 inch rims from the destruction of road salt(we use plenty here)and winter grime. I never switched out before but I will for my $55000 Ex Sport. They say it is better to use a winter tire in winter, I don't know, always used M&S before this winter. Is it worth it? Maybe not...but then again maybe. :)
Check with your auto insurance company to see if they have discounts for using 4 Winter tires. Mine gives me a 5% discount on my yearly premium.

Thanks Peter, but do you really mean "2" winter tires as opposed to 4? BTW I ordered the Interceptor wheels and center hub, the wheel was $85 each and the center hub was $59...I think I remember you paying $29 for the hub? Not sure why the wheel would be the same and cost of hub twice as much.

Thanks for that 'catch'. Have corrected the post to read "4" Winter tires. I guess each dealer has its own pricing on some items since they are all independently owned. My dealer is a small family operated (62 years) business that deals in Ford and Lincoln. A few years ago they were taken over by one of the large Ottawa dealerships but they still operate the same way.

Looks good! Does it have the active park assist auto-parking feature seen in the Platinum trim?

Active Park Assist is one of a few items not available on the Sport.

In my experience, Michelin tires have always been a better tire in most all departments and the price usually reflects that.

I've driven on a lot of different brands of tires and have to agree Michelin is second to none in build quality, wet traction and longevity. More specifically, on our sports car have Michelin's and on that particular forum I have read horror stories with sidewalls giving out on other various brands, but never Michelin. To me, this may one the most important safety features of any automobile, the tires.

As far as the Explorer goes, I've run Firestone, Bridgestone, Goodyear, etc., 1991 and Nothing compares to the Michelin LTX tires made for trucks IMO. America's/Discount tire has also said numerous times, the LTX is probably the best tire made. The LTX has a soft and quiet ride with incredible wet traction. My first set lasted 80,000 miles with a significant amount of tread left when I bought a new set. My second set had 55,000 miles on them and sold them with my '02 Explorer. I can't comment on their winter capability, but their performance is superior in dry and wet conditions with a sturdy sidewall you can count on.

Lastly, the Hancock tries seem to also be a fair tire, they seem quiet, semi soft, but can't comment about them wet or winter conditions. The tread life seems okay at best. In summary, not a bad tire thus far.

looks awesome

Congrats we love ours.
Only having an exhaust smell issue.

Have you noticed an exhaust smell when you accelerate?

It is a gloomy day here in the SE for pictures, especially for this particular color of White, but after spending the entire weekend washing, sealing, and waxing the car I figured I'd better take advantage.
The front of this thing is a beast to clean with all the nooks and crannies and with all the black trim on the mirrors, front, and around the bottom, waxing is especially challenging.
The bride is happy that I've polished on her new car all weekend. This thing is seriously nice.

That's pretty funny. I'm in the middle of doing the Mrs's Sport as well. Got it washed, clayed, and finally all taped off. That was a bear but not the worst I've done as far as the taping goes. The roof rack wasn't fun lol. Getting ready to hit it with a Flex 3401 and HD Adapt. I'm shooting for a one step correction but if I can't get 95%+ I'll probably go down in the pad using HD Adapt still to finish it out. I still can't get over the amount of pearl in the Shadow Black (G1). It's invisible unless you shine a light on the paint but the color is much richer than Ebony (UA), etc.

I'm surprised you need correction on a brand new vehicle Nasty.
Be sure and post up some shiny pictures.

You'd be surprised how bad the paint can be on any make of new vehicle between between inadequate painting (orange peel and the like), mishaps during transportation to the dealer and the detail departments of auto dealer actually making a paint job worse with methods that provide swirls. Winter where it shows is the worst as dealers want the snow off the vehicles in the lot and do all sorts of things to mar the paint in the process.

Two dealer car washes on black is enough for micromarring. Prep is everything. :D

Also getting Xpel Ultimate on it so the paint needs to be perfect for me before we lay something down for 5+ years.

I'm in a desperate search for someone local to put a clear bra on ours before it gets beat up.
I'm struggling to find someone. I've put small pieces on before but no way I'm tackling a job like this with no experience.

Everytime I click this thread Im tempted to buy 2016 steering wheel and see if it will fit prior years. I like the black color vs silver and I like the buttons on these better

back to the tire issue, i had bad experience with Michelin, multiple side wall cracks. Annoying noise after 1k km for Hankook. i'm now using "MAYRUN" chinese made tire :) the thread pattern are exactly same as Michelin... chinese are very good in copying... anyone have heard and used this tires. they are now almost 1k km fitted on my 20" rims, so far so good they are still very quite... will see how far they go...

MAY RUN? Haha...jeez what a bad name for a tire! Only thing worse would be MAY POP.
