2018 Explorer horn issue

Thanks. Saw that in a youtube video. Horns come as a unit attached to a bracket. Curious on how to get at the bracket. I agree it's easier to just detach each horn unit separately.
I only had one go out so I just switched that...if memory serves... I think I wanted to change both and bracket but it wasn't doable pulling the grill loose without breaking it...

Thanks WC. Finally did the same. Took off the new horns from the bracket and replaced both. Easier but still not sure why the great minds at Ford sell it as a unit.

On my first 2018 XLT, the low-note horn had already failed by the time I bought it, at only 7K miles.

On my current 2018 Sport, the exact same thing was evident, even though I'd bought this one used, at 79K miles.

In both cases, I had a warranty, but I just ordered the unit myself, and changed it out myself... as it wasn't worth it to me to give it to my crappy local Ford dealer shop for 2-3 days before they even got around to diagnosing the issue (much less ordering and installing the part).

Both of these replacement units only cost me around $45, including tax, which seemed very reasonable to me... and, again in both cases, no more issues with the horns since the change-out!

I think because they are so cheap...or they were...

Recently, our 2018, wouldn’t connect to bluetooth, radio and screen went black but, worked again the next morning. Now the horn won’t work. We have had consistent issues from these since purchasing it in 2018! Ford doesn’t feel the lack of an horn and the in ability to connect bluetooth in a trafficy metropolitan area are urgent and can’t get us in for 2 months!

Welcome to the Forum.
For the horn issue, have you checked fuse #15 and 39 in the engine bay fuse box? When a screen goes blank, sometimes it's an indication of a bad/failing APIM. As for the Bluetooth issue, have you tried turning it OFF on your phone and then setting up the connection again?
