ok, so i am putting a 3" body lift on my 93 ex sport 5-speed. i noticed that the shifter is positioned differently and in one of the sets of directions i have (i have the one taht came with the kit and another from another company) it mentions notching the flooorboard and getting an aftermarket boot. i havent finished it yet, but it looks like it wount be able to go into reverse. has anyone else had this? what did you do?

I have a 5spd and a manual t-case, i still have a hole in my floor. :) My shifter doesnt hit the body at all but when i go into reverse it does tap the center console sometimes. I'm going to be notching out another floor plate i have and then installing universal shift boots. I hope to get that done sometime this week.

well, i had left it in reverse and when jack ing up the pass side, it popped it out of reverse. i dont want to notch if i dont have to. where would you buy an aftermarket shift boot? and would it cover the entire hole?

i bought an aftermarket shift boot from autozone but i've also seen them @ pep boys. i got the small one and i dunno if itll cover the whole, i think i might have to go back and get the larger one.

does it bolt to the florr? also, what are you going to use to notch it?

I dont have to notch the floor, im gonna use a pair of shears to cut the floor plate though you shouldnt have to trim yours i have to trim mine to make room for the t-case shifter.

i guess i should wait until i finish the lift...hopefully tomarrow it will be up, though i will still have 2 more mounts to cut off and replace.
