300 Straight 6 in a ranger

I was thinking of putting a 300 Straight 6 with a 4 speed transmission in my 1998 Ranger Ext.
I know it will take more time and money then a V8 swap, but everybody has a V8 ranger these days and I want something that nobody has.
Im not worried about labor cost, cause me and my buddies can do it in my driveway(Yes, we are rednecks)
It will be used (Is currently used as) as a daily driver/mud truck/Trail riding.
I know the 300 is known for being a torque monster...The 3.0l v6 it has now has no power or torque at all, my girlfriends 94 Buick p.o.s can keep up with it!
I know pretty much everything that will need to be done(Firewall, motor mounts, etc...) But how much will everything cost, and how much time will it take?

Is the engine compartment long enough to fit a straight six cylinder?

Just putting a V8 in, I have to move the radiator and condenser forward...

The 300 is about 3" longer then a 302. So will putting the radiator in the back work? Ive seen it done on alot of off-road trucks

Firewall modification will be required, I had to completely remove the front cross-member and still need to make a replacement that will work with it.

I found a 94 ranger for $600 that I might buy for this project, and just keep my 98 stock for now
