Hello forum, I am here to pose a tire question. After much deliberating and many changed plans for a lift and tires, I've started wondering...can I trim the fenders enough on my 93 XLT to fit 35x12.5s with just shackles and f150 seats? I'm not worried about aesthetics, just wondering if anyone has done it. I've seen cherokees with 2" trim enough to fit 35s and 37s, and (correct me if I'm wrong) they have less room in the fenderwell than explorers do, right?

My reasons for this are cost (obviously) and to keep a low COG.

Am I crazy for even considering this?

Edit: and before anyone asks, I want to stay away from a body lift if I can.

I think you might be ablt to in the front and the back depends if your a 4 or 2 door. The four door you would be cutting into the rear door, but if your a 2 door my guess is you could cut far enough up to clear them.
