ok well its time for a new tire, and this size and brand keeps on goin though my head! but before i actually sit down and count out my pennies i need to know a couple things on these tires. what is the tread life? road noise? also how well do they do in the snow and wet roads? how strong is the sidewall?

thanks in advance

also what about swamper iroks bias, tread life? road noise?

Bias always have horrible tread life and huge road noise. Never put them on a truck that is street driven.

The Goodyears have been discussed many, many times. Just search. As far as I know, great tread life, mild road noise, and good wet dry traction. Not as good for mud.

it depends on the mud, if its sticky mud they wont clean out very well. But if the mud is soupy, they will grip VERY well. They are a great tire, i have several buddies who run them and absolutly love them. If you do rocks...the get the MTR hands down.

ok well what about toyo open country m/t size 37x14.5r15?

The MT/Rs i say is a good tire..... They are excellent in the rain, best mud/offroad tire ive had in the rain, ive ran the SSRs, PJ Dirt Grips, and now these. Mud they arent as good, liek the guy above said, soupy mud they do good, sticky mud they dont like to clean out...

Is this gunna be ran on the d35 TTB?

yep this is gonna be ran on the ttb

Yes  95OfffroadX, get ready to start keeping 1 or 2 or 10 spare hubs. :D

I've heard the tread life on the MT/Rs isn't that great, but personally haven't had any. You DO NOT want a bias tire for a DD. I'm planning on getting the Maxxis Trepador Radials in 37x12.5r16, haven't seen many reviews on them yet since they are brand new.

LOL i knew that was coming, but ive talked to a few people running 37's-39's on the d35 ttb, they all do serious wheelin(rock crawlin) and only break **** when they go all out on a hard trail, right now my plans is to get the toyo open country m/t 37x14.5r15 since they are only $186 each, and be gettin 15x10 wheels

the tread life of the MTRs is pretty good actually. Expect 30-40K on them (on average)

Ok, I just did some more searching, and pretty much the average of what people said on the MT/Rs is that the tread life is pretty good, if and only if you rotate/balance them every few thousand miles. If you don't, they'll start to wear unevenly. This is all stuff I read on several sites, but like I said, I don't have any personal experience with them.

Josh, I don't know who you were talking to w/ 37-39s on a d35 TTB, but EVERY person I've talked to with 35s+ has blown atleast 1 hub soon after the 35s. I guess you could be extremely careful, keep it open, etc. but I'm willing to bet if you wheel it you'll atleast blow a hub. JMO :)

whats this, 37's on the ttb? I hear something.... snapping axleshafts! You better pack 1 or 2 or 10 of them as well, for both sides.

and how are you planning on runnin 37's with you lift setup? will you be able to clear them SOB's (without fenders looking like a 5yr old hit them with a sawzall?) Im still deciding on 35" boggers or mt/r's, im thinkin of the mt/r's. The only thing is i want a wider tire, and the mt/r's only come in 12.5's, the boggers run some 35x14.50x15, which are lookin pretty good, but the tread wear and overall street performance is horrible. If it was just a trail rig id go boggers.

no i plan on upgradeing my susp. with 6" skyjacker coils and brackets(with f150 coil seats) for 7.5" lift and then adding a 2" body lift for a grand total of 9.5" of lift! i cant wait till im done this thing is gonna be huge! axle shafts, i was talkin to warrlord, he has 38's on his d35ttb ranger and he has only broke 2 shafts, and he said if he wouldnt of went all out and choose a different line they never would of broke(and he does some hardcore ****), soo im not worried about that, i mostly play in mud holes, but i will upgrade to a d44 sas somewhere in the future

also with 14.5" wide tires, 15x10 wheels will work right? what size back spacing should i get? 2.5?

might wanna watch your wheel bearings with those wide ass tires as well... (I vote for 35s)

Here you go Robb. From what I've seen, he does do some pretty serious stuff, but I still think you'll break stuff. Why are you spending all the money on the lift for this, and the tires (which will probably wear unevenly from a highly lifted TTB) and THEN go to a D44? Why not wait a bit longer and do it right the first time? JMO

You are slow bmx.........I deleted my post before you rebutted me. :D

I say go for it! 37x14.5s should work great on the 1/4 ton D35 TTB setup!!

Thanks Robb for making me look like an idiot :( :p Robb, will you PLEASE tell my friend that he can run 38s with stock axle shafts in his rear D35 in his Heep?

Didn't mean to make you feel like an idiot, but I just had to delete my post. ;)

i second bmx, go soild first, you will never get it aligned with the 6" coils and 150 seats, ive been there and it isnt possible. So with uneven tire wear, possibility of breaking LOTS of hardware, and all the pains that wil cause, just go soild first, then run as big of tire as you want (within reason) try and junkyard a hp44 of a 150 or bronco, then use those coils and seats. Then it will look truly sick. Trust me, im kicking myself for going with the superlift instead of going solid.
