Don't mean to sound rude but aren't you in the wrong area? I thought this is a Ford Explorer Forum (or Ford related vehicles)???

When did this turn into a forum for 4-Runners? If you have questions related to your vehicle, may be your questions should be directed at 4-runner owners, websites specific to your vehicle, wherever that may be??? You went and bought a 4-runner and now you're asking for help from Ford Explorer Owners on your tire and wheel set up????!!!!^%!$^%!@*@!#&@^#%!(# Am I missing something here?)

(I must have gotten out on the wrong side of the bed this morning!)

kvo,

I think you are way out of line here. There is no reason to be rude. If someone asks a question that doesn't belong then answer them and/or point them in the right direction. Just because they don't drive an Explorer doesn't mean we should be any less courteous.

gentlebear78,

A friend of mine has 33" tires(not sure what the metric size is) on his '99 4Runner with the same wheels. He has had no problems with them so far. I think you will be fine using them. You should check out www.off-road.com and look at the Toyota section. It is quite good. There should be lots of info and there are links to Toyota specific list. Good luck!

Hey lets not thrash on the guy too hard. He is a potential future Ford owner. Obviously the poor guy made a mistake and bought an NFE (Non Ford Explorer) and now must feel horible about it... Have you priced those things!!! Lot of $$$ for a pregnant mini truck. Not to mention that TOY is part of the name.

GB, as for your tire problem there are two solutions.

#1. Find a set of Explorer wheels and start with at least the 31x10.5. Now since they wont fit on your Toyota you will have to discard the truck and replace it with a Ford.

#2. Find your local Ford dealer. Cry, beg, plead, offer your first born child and trade in your Toyota. You will be much happier in the future.

But seriously, the Toy is a very good vehicle. I'm a former Mazda owner. You can probably get some very good general advice here but obviously it will be Explorer biased. I would follow some of the off road related links from this site as I am sure they will lead to other boards that will give you more specific info.

Lasly I would recommend the BFG AT ko's on anything.

Best regards.
