NICE!Thanks you guys!!! Thanks for hanging in there with us
This truck build has only just begun
Your praise means a lot, we spoke a lot about the explorer forum and ranger forum families this weekend
That’s what we are one big happy family of oldschool enthusiast who know better then to build a Jeep or yota lol lol
He is half way home only a few issues
I flexed the truck out a bit for him today so he could see the rear locker and low range and watch the suspension work
I can’t wait to see those videos
She handles the road and the off road that is for sure
However the drivers RCV axle is slinging grease … no biggie I’m sure they will warranty no problem! Insert Cringe

OMG! More catching up? thinking I got to retire.........There are pics in my trac thread
post #95 years after the first post.
I went back and reread this thread. Jamie how many re incarcerations of this project are there? Holy crapI will try to keep this thread short and sweet
I can't retire yet- gotta buy a house for my "wife"Yes summer of fun with 4 sport tracs! It’s almost the winter of resurrections as I have about 5 projects going now!
Lots of cool info in that thread
The “stang trac” is a beast.
I drove it to work with Eddie over the weekend hoping we would have time to do some drag racing… but we didn’t have the chance lol lol lol his truck would give it a run for its money even though I have similar cam exhaust smaller tires and a manual
You are not retired yet?? Oh brother come join us “retired”
Folk I’ve never worked so hard
A 20’ low trip shipping container is about $2500
bI will be making a condensed version of this thread
A build sheet of sorts
We went down many paths on the way to this result
I am now planning a ttb sport trac for me maybe with a sbf and Holley, maybe a 4 cyl turbo… let’s see what falls in my lap…
Right now I’m fixing wife’s FJ (been out of service two years) and building my son his first ranger, he’s 15.75 and has a permit yikes
Don't forget thisExactly what I paid for ours one tripper. Looks brand new inside and out.
A TTB Sport Trac would be wild!
That setup would chirp some 35s lol
Truck update!
She tossed tons of grease out of the drivers cv axle at the diff? No visible cracks or slits in boot that I could find. I assumed bad clamp job? I believe he’s going to try and get it repaired locally (I would)
The Holley shows lean at times on the drive home, the mat temp would get into the yellow and a/f would drop to 9-10 (normally around 1.4-15 during break in / learning)
Also she can be difficult to re start when hot
So I hd Brett put Eddie in touch with his contact at Holley and they will be doing a remote tunethis “will solve all hard start and drivability issues” I am told this is all normal and that most new setups need a tune
So Eddie ordered a cheapo laptop and I’m sending him the data cable
My friend Ben and I will be working a couple
Of cosmetic pieces for this
Build as well as a
Lower skid plate and more suspension brace…
As I said this build has just begun
Videos are getting edited and will be posted soon.
