4x4 to 2wd, Possible??

I've always wanted a 2wd truck, so i wanted to see if anyone had any ideas or solutions for conversion from 4x4 to all time 2wd. Some specs on my truck: 99 Sport model 4.0 SOHC auto trans. ANY CLUES?:exp:

Welcome to this forum! Why would you want to get rid of 4 X 4? I know that 4 X 2 uses less gas, and has less parts to break.

Sell your 4x4 and buy a nicer or newer 4x2, since your 4x4 is worth more. There's lots of 4x2's out there. Look down south, they're probably even rust free! If you still want the 4x4 look with a 4x2, that can be arranged too.

They could swap the lesser weight parts, the transmissions are too different.
