hey everyone, started another 302 swap. some of you may remember i did a carb'd 302 swap and a c6 in a lifted 92 explorer a few years ago, but i really didnt like running the carb'd motor. So.... I started all over again. picked up a 94 explorer a few months back. rust free 4 door with 80k original miles on it!! I was driving across town last week and saw a rolled over 2000 explorer with an awd v8 sitting in someones yard and stopped to ask about it, and $500 later i had myself the perfect donor vehicle with only 82K miles on it, and its even got headers on it!! Just started working on the truck this morning about 6am. pulled out the 302 and tranny as one unit from the 2000. and got the 4.0, crappy a4ld, and t-case out of the 94 by around 2:00. gutted the entire engine bay of the 94, and set the 302 in place. totally forgot i had to chop the heater box to clear the valve cover, but that was no big deal. motor and tranny are now in place, and basically ready to start being hooked up. now im trying to figure out how to wire this thing into my dash and make the dash work, and how to rewire the dash to plug in the new computer. would it be easier to simply put the dash out of the 2000 in? really need some input on how to wire this thing.
thanks, and any input is GREATLY apreciated
