Whats up guys its me again. I plan on towing more stuff this upcomming season so I wanted to give my tranny a rehaul. I bought a much bigger transcooler for the 92 explorer 4x4 xlt. I also bought a new filter and a ton of trans fluid. I want to put this trans cooler on and then do a Purge of all the old tranny fluid and put in a new filter. I wanta make sure first off that what im looking at IS THE TRANS COOLER. Second After I connect it I wanta do a purge, I heard the best way to do is is leave the return line feeding into a bucket and just keep adding fluid until its done? Which one is the return . give me some heads up Im so confused.
FIRST picture, (IS THIS THE TRANS COOLER?)
NEXT PICTURE ( HERE IS THE BOTTOM WHICH ONE IS THE RETURN WHICH IS THE FEED?) The brown one goes back to the tranny, the oily one goes up to somewhere in the engine bay?
LAST PICTURE Compares the size of the two coolers
