93 x stalling when cold and put into gear

Need help with a 93 4.0L explorer. Only stalling when engine is cold and put into any gear. Fast idle seems ok, approx 1300rpm and comes down when warm. Symptoms only for the first minute or two depending on how cold it is outside. Replaced the MAF and cleaned the iacv. Fuel pressure and injectors ok. Dont think there is a manifold leak at this time, disconnecting MAF makes no difference. Anyone think it might be a tranny problem, ie lock up solenoid leaking? Any other ideas or suggestions. No codes with KOEO or anything else stored. Thanks for the ideas and input guys.

Just a guess, but I'd check the ECT and especially the ACT sensors. The Air Charge Temp sensor is near your IACV. It's job is to measure air density coming into your engine. It's nearly impossible to tell the exact temperature of the air inside the intake for testing purposes, but if the engine has been running, you could expect a resistance reading of 1.2k to 24k ohms. (A temperature of 50 degrees F in the intake should be very close to 58k ohms). A resistance reading beyond these values would indicate a faulty ACT. The EEC should pick up a failed ACT and set a code, but an "almost failed" sensor won't be seen by the EEC. The ECT is a different sensor monitoring antifreeze temperature. It basically acts like a choke. The resistance values are very similar to the ECT sensor.
Also, do a general look around of vacuum lines, etc. Pull a line off the vacuum tree and make sure there's no tranny fluid present. These are all just guesses, but they may reveal a problem. Hope it helps.
