95 explorer sport nearly stalls when stopping at red lights

itl be driving fine, then when i come to a stop. the RPM's often go below 300. any ideas why this is happening?

Bad idle air control valve, dirty idle air control valve, or your throttle body is really dirty and the orfice that directs air to the IAC is clogged or restricted
