Welcome to the forum! Your problem can have endless causes; you need to provide more information, including, but not limited to what others already mentioned. Any work recently done on the engine? High oil consumption?

by accelerate do you mean it wont rev, or when in gear it just free revs? as everyone else mentioned, more info would be helpful

Mass air flow changed,oxygen sensors,fuel filter-Friend ran it out of gas. Changed fuel filter again,pulled a plug fouled pretty bad...gonna put new plugs, and try to replace pvc valve...thx

What is the fuel pressure while running, when off and the key is turned on, and with the FPR vacuum line removed from it, for the time to check the pressure?

With the fuel tank run dry, the pump is likely to be bad, which can mean it pumps enough to feed the engine at idle, but not enough to gain rpm or speed. That's very common for an old pump or one that's seen low voltage, or run out of gas.
