So, the truck was running fine, no hint of a problem. Pulled it in for the night a couple days ago and locked the doors. When I went to start it up for work in the morning, it wouldn't even turn over, no clicking or anything. The battery seemed like it had a lot of juice, but I put the charger on it and it was a bit low. So, I let it charge up while I was at work. When I got back, battery was fully charged. Went to try it again, this time engine turned over but would not start.

We got it down to there's no spark. Checked power to the coils today, and nothing. Checked all the fuses and relays, seem fine.

What we need to know, is how many different things would cause no juice to even make it to coils. I'm guessing something electronic since it seemed to happen overnight, literally.

Any help would be appreciated.

It's a 1998 Eddie Bauer Explorer 5.0 V8, with about 180k miiles.

Maybe a PCM problem? Have you checked the coil pack (resistance, etc.) to make sure that it isn't fried or anything?

check the coil. autozone will test it free.

Even if it cranks over, a low voltage battery will prevent it from starting

Does the "check engine" light come on when you first switch on the key?
Do you hear the fuel pump run, or "prime" when the key is first switched to the on position?

I'm betting on the battery--
