98 Explorer Sport 5.0?

Will a 5.0 from a 4 door Explorer fit in my Explorer
Sport? Everything under the hood looks the same
and both are 98's

it will fit, it will also be more work than you think. even if you swap the 5.0 with all the accessories on it you still might end up having to rerout exhaust and air conditioning all that type stuff. also you might need to adjust the front suspension. it can be done,but unless you have a good 302 for cheap, you would getmore benefit from a supercharger on your current mill for possibly less money

yeah, i remember a while back, willie chu was seriously considering a 5.0 conversion on his 99 sport, but i think he gave it up - not sure. it is a TON of work.

For simplicity sake... probly easy to do Hi-po parts into the V-6 from Vanair and the supercharge it. Hell, I wish I did that now... and if anything did a T-5 and some sorta stout t-case.... Damn A4ld's!
