'99 XLT Weekend Grille Project

Took me pretty much all weekend to do it, but she's finally done! It's very subtle right now but the brush guard and bumpers are next.

Before...

Figure I'll clean up and paint the engine cover too...

Without the brush guard...

Removed the grille shell and signal lamps...

Removing the chrome took forever! Honestly, didn't have $15 for a torch.

Took a break from that and painted the engine cover...

Shiny...

Primed and ready for paint...

Mesh grille painted and installed...

Realized I forgot to take a picture between putting the grille and brush guard back on! DOH!

Brush guard installed...

Driving lights installed... And DONE!

Outside...

Like I said... Subtle but it works...

Grrrr... She looks mean!

Haha, you remind me of me, about the chrome, haha the radio bezel, that has that like soft thin rubber coating, i didnt know how to get it off, so I could paint it, so I pelled it off with my fingers....GOD it took forever, well its still not done but my fingers were sorrrrrrre!

Lol looks good though...imagine if you got a billete grill

Looks great! I just bought a similar brush guard and some Hella's, but haven't installed them yet. Good to see a similar setup pulled off well.
