A/c mode door cable issues.

I have an issue with the cable that goes between the climate control panel and the blower box. The cable will stick and bend instead of moving the door. Net effect is that the air does not come out of the proper vents. I have disconnected the cable and verified the smooth operation at the blower box itself, the only thing I figure is that because the cable is looped, it gets too much friction.
I am looking for a new cable, but cannot find one, I may not be looking for the right name part. Has anyone had similar issues and do you know what the part is called?

Check with green sales in Cincinnati. They specialize in obsolete ford parts. I've been amazed several times what they had on the shelf. If they don't have it they'll give you the part number.
