The last update looked better visually, but made the main things I wanted fixed were either made worse than before, or the same as before. Can anyone confirm if the following have been fixed in 3.2.2? I'm afraid to install it and make the experience even worse again just to get the main screen temperature back:
1) iPod song shuffling issue:
Prior to 3.0.2 playlists would "start over" each time the vehicle was started. The song would keep playing where it left off however it would show you were back on song 1 of XX instead of say, 14 of XX. This made listening to a playlist in shuffle mode useless.
3.0.2 changed that, unfortunately for the worse. After starting the vehicle the playlist continues where you left off (song 14 of XX), however it switches from shuffle mode to alphabetical mode and starts playing in alphabetical order. If you then go in to the settings and re-select shuffle mode it THEN restarts the playlist at 1 of XX, similar to how versions previous to 3.0.2 did automatically. So essentially it just added in another annoying step of work to get back to where you didn't want to be in the first place (1 of XX).
2) Right Dashboard screen doesn't stay where it was after restart:
Even with the proper setting set to remember screen selection after restart, the right side dashboard screen jumps back one step each time the vehicle is started. You then have to hit arrow--> (or is it left?) on the steering wheel to get back to the screen you had it on when the vehicle was powered off.
3) The software still gets gradually slower and slower and glitchier and glitchier until it finally has to be rebooted via the software or a fuse pull, or it sometimes automatically does it on its own.
Extremely frustrating that such simple things don't function correctly on a $40K+ vehicle and haven't been fixed after 2 years of updates. My wife has already vowed that this will be her first and last Ford. She may be able to be turned around if the MFT system is ever fixed (on this vehicle not a future one), but that's not looking promising as long as the archaic Flash is being used to program it and the current team of programmers are on the job. My apologies if these questions have been answered already, I don't have much time these days to surf the forums.
