A4LD Valve Body Removal Question

On a Shift Correction kit it says that you have to remove the transmission. Can you not just remove the valve body.

Valve body parts can be added by just removing the valve body. Some kits also include parts intended to be used in a rebuild as well, and obviously to use those parts, you WOULD need to remove the transmission.

that is what I was saying. On one of the kits it said to remove the tranmission so I was asking do I have to remove it to get the valve body out.
 






No. It's not necessary to remove the transmission to rebuild the valve body. The kit may contain additional parts which could only be installed if the transmission were out. Just don't install those parts. Use only the valve body parts in the kit if you are not doing an entire rebuild at this time.
