Stupid Stupid ABS light
My light was going on as well, both the ABS light and the parking brake light. took it to two Ford dealers, one told me that I needed to replace the Master cylinder because it was leaking somewhere inside of the system (cost $600) the second Ford dealer pointed out that my front and back brakes were totally worn down, just gone. Replaced the entire front braking system and entire back system (everything was too ground down to even retool) for $700. Stupid stupid light still on. Dealer B spent about 4 hours resetting the computer, (several times) fiddling with everything, Master C was checking out fine, no codes coming up!
Finally the dealer gave up and said this sometiems happens, and told me the brakes are all fine, they offered to disconnect the light or put tape over it. It bothers me all the time, though, makes me worry that maybe they really aren't ok....
