Ac Has Mind Of It's Own

My AC blower will change from the floor to the vents to the defrost all on it's own . anyone have an idea as to the cause and how to fix it?

there are two plastic vacuum hoses located in engine compartment under a/c heater unit.one is black,the other gray.the black goes to the a/c controls on the dash,the gray goes to the heater valve.both my hoses were collapsed.you will have to loosen inner wheel well to get to the hoses.
this is the first place i would look.
