Add a Leaf's

How dose this rise the rear of the explorer i dont see how it can work on my 1992 explorer the leaf springs are under the axile would adding a leaf just lower the explorer more.Now if the leaf springs was on top of the axile then i could see adding a leaf would rise the rear can someone please expline this to me.

i think it basically works by causing more arch to be put in the springs thus raising the truck slightly. yes i believe it will lower the spring pack also by that 3/8"
