if my math is right i will have enough vertical clearance... adding roughly 2.5 inches of tire up and 5 inches of lift should alow for the larger tires... correct.. does anyone know what coils i could run to allow the 5 inches up front... i will just block and adda leaf to the rear... but i need longer coils so any suggestions would be appreciated

5 more inches up front??!?!?!?! Thats all new radius arms, springs and steering. rear is easy as I wouldn't add blocks but get new springs to save from EXTREME axel wrap

now you will start breaking axles, u joints, etc. Braking will suck
I would worry about more then just clearing them.
Drivetrain strength, gearing, and braking must be addressed to run over 35's IMO with the 8.8, even a D44 and 9" can take 37's but with upgrades, the D44 will snap axleshafts/hubs/u joints with 39.5 IMO

so what do you think about 37s... would i be pretty safe stickin around that size

37's can break stuff too, but yes MUCH better, and hell a locked Sport on 35's will go just about anywhere, on 37's you are pretty much guaranteed to get there and or roll over hahaha

It all depends on the situation, a 37 will snap an axleshaft on a D44 as we all know, but under the right condition so will a 33.

so the 37 will deff snap a driveshaft or axle shaft when its spooled then huh... haha this sport is way to damn expensive... looks like im gonna need stronger axleshafts.. you see theres kinda a liftwars goin on with my and my buddies... i know stupid reason to lift but i dont want them to trench out a mud pit then i cant get threw... he is planning on 38.5s on his ram so i was thinking give him a run for his money.... in all seriousness i have noticed already where 37s would be in advantage in the goopy michigan mud, so i think that will be the next upgrade, after gears, and the megashifter

Some Warn shafts with CTMs would help you out ...............................hmmmm, and I know someone with some for sale. :D

not necassarily, it all depends on how you drive it. I think a D44 can handle 37's, but I dont do alot of wheel spin if I can help it and I dont mach on the truck any more then it needs.

Just carry spares. :)
I run 35's on my D35 and 8.8, locked, aired down in moab and never had an issue (knocking on wood)

ill just have to try it i guess. its not going to be for a while, because these tires i have now still have a good 35-40 thousand left in them so i gotta wear these down a little

my old sport had 38s veryone said i would break stuff all the time and i wheels the crap out of it, it had a 6in susp and 3in body with some trimming, the only problem i had was wearing out wheel bearings, and i almost tipped at 28deg / so i say go for it and have fun

More lift worse performance. Instead of thinking lift think performance. Traction devices (lockers or limited slip differential) will pull you through the mud more consistently than lift. Cutting fenders instead of lifting for bigger tires is actually better. I also believe that at some point you will have to move the front axle forward to clear the firewall. Also, suspension articulation is critical for off road performance. Do you want a truck with real balls or the plastic kind you attach to the trailer hitch.

I wouldn't do it, but to answer your question, yes. If you have a total of 11-13" of lift you should be able to fit 39.5s. I'm going to put 37s on mine next and I have about 6.5-7" of lift.

i have 35s on my bronco2 with 4" of lift and it is great. i wouldnt ever go much more than 35s on my D35 TTB front end though. im worried enough as it is... :-/

my friend has 37s on his d44 and 9" exploder with 5" coils up front and a spring over rear with an add aleaf.
