Is there a difference between alternators for a 5.0 and a 4.0L engine? The reason I ask this, I just remembered when I bought my 200amp alternator from MrAlternator, I may have told him it was for a 5.0 and not a 4.0SOHC. Will this make any difference? It is bolted up right now, but I don't think the engine has been turned over to test it yet.

Anyone? Or has this been asked a gillion times and I just missed it. LOL.

If it's bolted up, wires up, and the belt and pulleys work, then you're golden.

Thanks Alec. Just needed to make sure. It is bolted, wired, and the pulley is in line so I guess another dog down the road.

You may have told him? Diod you get a 5.0L alternator or not?
