Ambient Lighting Problems

Last night I set it to dark blue, got in, started driving at it went right back to factory color. It's really pissing me off.

My '13 Sport is doing the same thing. Every once in a while I'll notice it goes from my set color of purple back to light blue. I never noticed this with V3.5.1. I'm running the latest 3.6.2

Per my support, you'll need to make an appointment with your dealerships so they can diagnose and correct this issue.

I have had the same problem with the color changing another a week or so since 3.6.2, but nothing that makes me angry. I'm sure there will be a fix for this.

Nothing that has been reported so far.
I have mine on the factory light blue setting so I haven't had this issue. Perhaps I may try a different colour setting and see what happens.

I have noticed it only revert to light blue.. from other colors.. I assume its a bug in the software or a specific set of circumstances lead to it resetting..

Time for a software update - sadly or I might say gladly, we can only get updates via USB. I can only imagine the possible hacker exploits if they were pushed via wireless.

Mine randomly reverts back to the default light blue on occasion. As with other issues, it seems to be getting more frequent. A bug for sure.

I am curious if this glitch is related to remote start..

I will try again tomorrow but today when I remote started the vehicle it reverted and I needed to reset it - curious if others are seeing the same issue.

I have remote start but dont use it, so it's not the cause for what happens in my vehicle.

I changed my colour from the standard light blue a couple of days ago and after a 1 hour drive yesterday including a stop over and trying the remote start today and driving, the colour has not changed back to the original light blue.

Has anyone noticed if it changes or does not change base don if you start the vehicle with the doors open or closed and if the Auto headlights are on or not?

Is that in your 2008 Edge?? I set mine to green a few days ago to test this issue and if it doesn't change back on its own soon, I'm not going to wait much longer.

No I am getting this issue on my new 2014 Explorer limited...

I've also started experiencing this. I've always had it on purple because my son likes that colour and this morning I noticed it had reverted back to the default blue. This is the second time in a couple of months that this has happened.

I use the remote start a lot because I have two little kids but I don't see the correlation with remote start as someone had posted a few back as being the potential culprit.

No big deal for me. What is annoying me is all the squeaks/metal chatters/clicks/pops that I hear in the cabin while driving...

Put me in the group with the ambient lighting reverting back to factory light blue after a few days.
Without some sort of direction or a successful service fix, it will be difficult to explain to or assist the service center in their diagnosis/repair of this issue.

This is happening to me as well. Didn't have this issue with 3.5.1 but since going to 3.6, this is happening about once a week.

I have had this happen 3 times in my Limited over the course of 3-4 months. I seem to remember a "system maintenance" message on MFT around the time that this occurs. Perhaps an MFT reboot resets the color to the default?
