first post- glad i found this site.
So wife is driving 60-65 MPH on the highway Saturday, with my 8 month old and my mom, and this happens (as best she can recall)-
O/D light comes on, car downshifts, big revs, all lights come on in dash, accelerator stops working, they manage to get to shoulder and turn car off. Spend some time freaking out, restart car, drive home.
I took it to our shop- no codes, nothing obvious.
We have had the O/D light come on before, and pushing the button doesn't always make it go off again. and then it will.
So- malfunctioning switch? Wiring shorting out? Something completely different?
Any help would be great. It's our only baby friendly car.
