Attica II the aftermath

Gee, I think Matt wants to see the pics...Join the club, I've been waiting since we got home! I think of the ways I drove, the drive home was the easiest. As for future mods, I wish I wasn't at school, but work makin money to add to my rig. I washed up my rig only to notice slight body modifications, thanks mud hole. Oh well, I think the whole group think is so much more fun as well as I loved discussing how to attack things.
Anne- Are you sure it's all Todd being crazy? I bet you've got a good deal of egging him on. :)
Don't worry, I'll slow change into the more aggressive, taking chances and pushing the truck, just give it time. Then you'll have Me, Todd, Matt and Scott! Won't ya love that! Okay, I'm leaving to play internet games to squash my anxiety to seeing these pictures.

Ok guys, heres the link, just remember, we are getting used to the camera. All the pics are straight out of the camera, haven't been resized or edited at all. What you see is what you get. Hope you like them. Anne spent a good share of the day getting these put in photopoint. Remember we have a 33.6 modem, it takes quite a while.

Here we go!!!

Got my first roll developed, scanned, edited and loaded. Here's the link. Enjoy!!!

Dead Link Removed

Want to use them, download or whatever, feel free to do so. Just don't sell them to anyone without first getting a big fat check!

Kidding aside, now I'm heading to look at Kampy's pix. Should take a while as I know That Anne took a lot of them.

lol

Later,

riff, if you call my home and I'm not there my wife most likely won't pick-up. It's the way she is. I'll work on it.
:D

Very cool! We are going to have a LOT of pictures this time!

I watched my video, not the greatest. It's seems I was doing more driving than taping. I will watch it again and see if it's worth editing, but it's only about 45 mins worth.

Pics

The pics look great! I should have mine back and on the web by Wed. I really need to get a digital camera. Favorite pic- Matts exhaust bubbling in the mud and getting bent up, great job Anne.

Hey I am up for going again, unfortunately I don't think I can scrap up enough money to pay for school and get a 4x4 truck. Oh well, I might be able to get an ATV and help spot you guess and search for trails.

Matt, I don't care what the tape looks like I want a copy.

Rich, I think we all learned how handy it would be to have an atv to scout ahead. Find one you can use and we'll let you go with us again. joke

WHOOOOAAAA!!!!! Wicked pics! I love the pics they are EXCELLENT! Great job Anne! Andre, Great pics...I love the ones of me in the dry wash...I'm gonna use them to send to rick in hopes he'll set me up as a featured explorer....I cant wait to see the second roll and daves pics. I've also learned to bring more film and use a better camera! Oh well, I guess that will be for our next run! Love em all guys!
Pete

Tape

I was just thinking about it Matt. Just p-mail me your address and I'll send you blank tape with return envelope postage paid. Pix look awsome Kampy. I got to get on the Orange next time around. Like I said, it gets better every time.

Later,

:D

Rick, can we put this one in the books???

Pete, as far as putting your rig in the "featured section" I don't think it's gonna be that easy. I've tried that before. Rick has plenty of other things to do. Same thing with the write up on our first run. Dave submited it long ago and so far nothing happened. I'm pretty sure it will end up there but later. Perhaps we can set-up something on Cameron's site. Look at this site guys and tell me what you think:

http://www.ericcameron.com/Niec/NIEC.htm

can we use it? I hope Cameron doesn't mind.

Later,

Andre...I think it's worth the shot if I can get my truck up there...might as well take a stab at it...As for the Cameron thing, if he doesn't mind...might as well...It's just another website to get our info out on...That is all for now...Oh yea, Matt check out Cameron's site...It has Attutude Performance online and here is their web address:

ok guys...you officially suck!!! well not really....i am officially lame!!!!

i went to pick up my truck from getting the pitman changed. as i was driving back to work, i think i may have stepped on the gas a little hard, cause the weld on the new spring perches broke, the axle twisted, and the u-joint bound, and exploded!!! i was like CRAP!!!!!!!! sux huh? but its ok....i unbolted the rear axle, locked in the hubs, and drove it four (front) wheel drive.......as it turns out, the place that is doing the rear shock mount fabrication also does axle and u-joint stuff! so they're gonna do it all tomorrow, as well as turn the axle back the right way, and put a super strong weld on for me. so thats more money, but its being taken care of.

so when are we going again? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh? huh?

im gonna go play there soon....at least as soon as my pile is done being worked on....

those pics are AWESOME!!!!! I really am jealous! looks like a blast!

Kampy and Andre,

The pics are great. I hope to get mine done soon. I've been busy with school and work. I'll try and drop them off tonight.

Riff, You know you would have been able to go if you brought the truck up to Kampy. :)

Dave

Wow Riff...Too bad to hear that! Wait? Ya got a superlift correct? I'm tellin everyone to get Skyjacker ;) Just playin...Hope things turn out better for ya....I see that you're pretty anxious to go....I'm home at thanks giving time, I don't know if anyone wants to put something together for then or not...Maybe the weekend before thankgiving? Just an idea..okay, I'm anxious too! I loved it... Just wanted to get my thoughts out...oh yeah once again the pics were awesome!
Pete

Oh yeah, I finally realized I've gotten 250+ posts and a 3rd explorer!

i wanted to say thanks alot to matt, kampy, and rich for taking the time out sunday to show me around! i was totally impressed with what they were able to do out there, and what my truck was able to do after kampy talked me into staying and getting muddy. my truck had rarely seen rain let alone mud before sunday and it felt good to use it for what it was made for. it was nice to meet u three and ann. thanks again. Rick

Todd, do you remember seeing that canister right after my muffler? What is that thing? That thud I was talking about was my exhaust because my shock sleeve is dented and scraped right next to where the pipe is routed through to the back. I just cut off the damaged pipe and I'm about to head over to PepBoys. Let me know if you know what that canister is.

Let me know if you guys want tapes. Andre or anyone else, send a blank tape to:

Matthew LaLonde

Glencoe, Ill. 60022

Matt, it's your resonator. It's on there to help control the sound levels. When you get a replacement bolt on exhaust system (like walker) alot of times they don't even include it in the pipe so the call would be yours on whether to have it put back on or not when you go to have your tail pipe professionally modified. Personally, I wouldn't bother with it.

Riff, whoever did the welding for you, I would pay him a little visit and tell him what I thought of his work.

Grnmachine sorry we couldn't hang around longer, I do hope you enjoyed yourself. When we got done with the orange trail I came back to the quarry to see if you guys were still there but you were already gone.

So the resonator keeps it quieter? Is that right? Is there any type of packing in it or is it just hollow? I was debating cutting that off too. I cut off the damaged part about 8" after that resonator. I bought a turnout and a muffler clamp and used that to deflect the exhaust down.

That's what it's designed to do. It straight thru with packing around it, just like a glasspack.

If it were mine I'd whack it off about 4 inches after the muffler and take it to a place that custom bends pipe and have them fix it like we talked about.

Cameron had a place do his dual pipes and they did a good job, I'd check with him. I'm sure he can hook you up.

I am going to do it the way we had discussed. Should I keep it a secret until I get it done? I just bought the tail piece and clamp for $5 until then.
