or is there a better way to go about it since i dont care if i can use the rear end again or not. I just want the locker out in one piece so i can re-sell it.
If you can work the pin back some, spin the diff and pull the pin out you can salvage the whole thing. It should be easier since the diff is out from under the truck.
After a weeks worth of driving and one offroad trip i will definalty say i can really feel the difference with the 4.10's. My gas mileage even has jumped up quite a bit, and with gas prices the way they are thats a good thing.
Well this road is finally at an end. I got the locker out and had a good old time doing it. Basically i took my grinder and put a 6 inch hole in the back of the rear end housing and just pushed the bolt out the hole. I love power tools lol. Destroyed the rear end but it was a blast. The locker and carrier and all the rest of the parts are perfectly ok. Ill post pics of the carnage in a few.
Just check your measurements, i think my thrust washers were a micro to thick. When i pulled everything out i saw that things werent off by more than a hair.
Unfortunatly i didnt invite the idiot who messed mine up, he just kinda showed up. Still havent talked to him, and probably never will. Ignorant people are annoying...lol...
